KSV Reunion

It was time for our annual family reunion at the lake. We had a great time this year. We played horse shoes, golfed, and some played volleyball. My cousin Timmy brought down a big slide with a water gun the kids played all day on that. We had a great auction this year also. Every year we have a lot of great memories, from funny things happening, and just time being together. Can not wait unitl next year. Mike playing horseshoes.

VCOM Graduation

While Mike was at rehearsal I took the kids to the duck pond one last time. When we first moved there, our neighbor Nancy took Abby and I there. Abby and I would go there every once in a while to have a picnic and feed the ducks. When Mike was done with everything we went to the school picnic. We had a great time with all of our friends.

The next day was graduation it was very hot. I think that this was the hottest day we were there. The air conditioning was out where Mike graduated, so it was very hot and stuffy in there. The President of the school was very funny and added a little comment to everyone that graduated. When graduation was over we went out to eat at Chatue Morriset for dinner. Their air conditioning was out also, it was very hot in there too. All in all we had a great time and proud of Mike for his graduation.

Salem and Roanoke

We woke up this morning and went to Salem and Roanoke to do some sight seeing. We stoped in Salem and went to a couple of stores that we used to go to and look around. We then went on to Roanoke to the farmers market and all the little shops that were around there. We then came back to the hotel and rested, before we went to the class party. We took the kids to the school, because they had daycare there. The kids had a great time. We went to Cabo a restaurant in Blacksburg. We had a great time visiting with our old friends. We all go to catch up, before we have to leave and go to other states. Abby sitting in the hand downtown Roanoke.

We made it

We made it Virginia about 11:00 am this morning. We went by our old house that we rented, it still looks the same, and it seems the same people live there. We also went by our friends Larry and Gina's house to see all the work that they put into, since it is for sale. They are moving to California. We went to Mike's school so he could do his exit interview, and get his regalia. He also had to have his picture taken in his regalia. He looked so different with everything on. He is getting so excited, and so are we. I think we are going to go to Salem and Roanoke tomorrow, and see some sights.

On our way

Well we are on our way to Virginia. We left about 6:30 am so we could go to Saint Anthony for Mike to do a test for employment. We left there around 7:30 and drove all day. When we stoped to eat dinner we saw a race trail. Jacob had to go see it and have his picture taken with the trail. We had to walk around the trail and see if the car would come out like Lighting McQueen. We also met the driver of the truck. He thought his name was Mack, from the movie, because everyone that drives a racing truck has to be Mack. The driver told him the car was asleep and could not be woken up. Thank you to the driver, because we would have been there all night. We stoped in Knoxville only 4 hours from the school. Jacob infront of the car trailer.

Yes it is happening

Our lives have been so full of things going on. We have been married for seven years, and one of Mike's dreams is coming true. He is going to graduate from medical school. When we first got married he told me that he wanted to be a doctor, and I was like ok whatever. Well he applied and he did not get in, and then we had Abby, and he applied again and got in. I was socked at first, because of where we were going to have to move to, but I knew he could do if he really tried. So right before Abby turned two we moved to Virginia to start this hard journey for our family. Then we had Jacob during all this. We move back to Oklahoma for hardship reasons so he could finish what he started. There was times he thought that medical school was not for him, but God showed him that he could do this and be a good husband and father though all this. This journey is going to be ending soon he will graduate on Saturday only six days away, and I am so proud of him.
