Same day

As we were waiting on Mike to get the crab boil. There was this little craw fish outside in the parking lot. We stood around watching it crawl around. As you can see it was ready to fight. My mom kept telling me to pick it up and take it inside, what was she thinking I have never picked up a craw fish before. I could see it all now hanging on to my finger and me yelling. That was not going to happen of vacation. So a nice man came and picked him up and took him home and ate him.
This is the restaurant we ate at Mother's they are famous for there beans and ham, but we did not see it on the menu.
This was a stage that they put on shows in the summer. It was neat to see.
The super dome that everyone went to after the hurricane. As we were driving you could see still the houses that were destroyed and people still living in the trailers. I hope one day it will be the same as before, but it will take a long time for that.

First Day of trip May 4th.

We left our house at 4:30 am. We were going to leave at 4:00 am, but we had too much stuff to load. As you can see the kids were happy driving out there. We stopped at a McDonald's for breakfast which was still in Oklahoma at 7:30 am.
We then kept driving and stopped along side the road in Louisiana. We could not find a rest area anywhere. There was all these little bugs flying around so it was a quick sandwich and then back on the road.

We stopped here so Mike could get some crab boil. They have the best. They are in outside New Orleans.

We are home

I just wanted everyone to know that we got home fine today. We are all in one piece. Thanks to God!!! We all had a great time. I will post pictures of our trip and our new house that we are closing on June 17th.

Getting ready to go

Well we are getting ready to go. I am panic mode now. I have been working full time at the church and working one day a week at Dr. Wall's office. I am usually packed by now the people that know me are probably shocked, because I am not ready.

We have our house inspection tomorrow. Hope everything goes well.

Sunday will be Mike's and I's 7th year anniversary. He got me a ipod which I have been wanting for a while now. He has not gotten anything yet, but 7 wonderful years with me. I am not sure if he thinks that sometimes.

We will be leaving on Sunday morning and I will not be able to post because at Disney the cost to use the Internet is 10.00 a day and I am not going to pay that.

I will post when we get back and also pictures.

We are getting ready to go

Everyone here is getting excited about going to Disney World. We only have one week left until we leave. Abby is counting down the days and marking them off the calender. Most of there clothes are packed, but our clothes are not ready yet. They will be ready probably the day before we leave. With me working everyday and doing odd things at night like VBS training, soccer practice, and Church do not leave alot of time to pack.

In all of this chaos we bought a house. It is four bedrooms with a study on one acre of land. We do not close on it until July 31st, because the people that we bought it from are moving back to Utah then and with this trip, Mike's Graduation, and the great family reunion coming this gives us a little time to rest before we move in. We are going to go inspect the house on May 2nd so I will take pictures then and post.

We are done with swimming practice and Jacob is a little fish. Mike or I have to swim with him and he always wants us to let go. So we did and he sank, but he kept going. Abby is doing better than before she can dog paddle now and is very happy with that.

Busy time now

We have been soo busy with me changing jobs, and trying to find a house. Mike and Abby went on a Daddy Daughter date. They had a great time. Abby and Jacob are also taking swimming lesson. Jacob is doing so well he wants us to let go of him and let him swim by himself but he sinks. Abby is like a fish. She is now learning to float on her back. We also have soccer every Saturday with Abby and she is doing much better this year than last. The best thing is they do not keep score and she scored a goal, but it was for the other team. But she scored a goal.
